Salary: $66,000 - 106,000 per year Requirements:

• 6+ years of product design experience, including shipping complex products end to end.
• Experience independently planning and conducting user research, including interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing, and translating findings into decisions.
• Ability to frame problems around user needs, jobs to be done, and success measures before designing screens.
• Experience mapping end-to-end journeys, service blueprints, task flows, and wireframes, including touchpoints, handoffs, branches, edge cases, and failure paths.
• Knowledge of information architecture, content models, navigation, and labeling, with experience validating designs through card sorts and tree tests.
• Strong interaction design skills, including mental models, affordances, feedback, and consistent communication of system status.
• Ability to evaluate designs using heuristic reviews and usability measures such as task success, time on task, and error rate.
• Expertise in visual hierarchy, typography, layout, color systems, depth, component states, iconography, and motion.
• Experience building and documenting design systems with tokens, variables, modes, and component variants.
• Deep understanding of desktop, web, and mobile platform conventions, with sound judgment about when to depart from them.
• Ability to incorporate WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility considerations from the start, including contrast, focus order, larger text, reduced motion, and screen-reader labels.
• Expert-level Figma skills, including variables and modes, component properties, auto layout, advanced prototyping, and Figma Motion.
• Experience with After Effects, Rive, or ProtoPie for demonstrating interactions.
• Ability to design AI interfaces for non-deterministic, streamed, and sometimes incorrect outputs, with patterns that support user control, correction, undo, and clear failure states.
• Helpful additional experience includes illustration, iconography, brand identity, industrial, print, or type design; dense professional tools; or public work such as writing, talks, or side projects.

• Turn ambiguous problems into clear user flows, information architecture, and interaction models.
• Design all screen states, including empty, loading, partial, error, and unanticipated edge cases.
• Own the visual design of products, including typography, layout, color, iconography, and hierarchy.
• Specify interactions and motion clearly enough for engineers to implement as designed.
• Build and evolve our design system.
• Review shipped work for visual and interaction details, identifying issues such as misalignment, incorrect easing, and clipped labels.
• Test designs with real users and iterate to improve and simplify the experience.
