Job Description

Responsibilities
- Observe machinery in operation to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine root causes.
- Disassemble equipment to access, repair, or replace defective mechanical and electro‑mechanical components using hand and power tools.
- Inspect parts and materials for wear, defects, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Adjust and align mechanical systems and control instruments using measuring and diagnostic tools including multimeters, RPM gauges, levels, and straightedges.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system issues using schematics, wire lists, and I/O documentation.
- Set up and operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate or repair parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing components in accordance with maintenance schedules.
- Test and power up equipment after repairs to verify proper operation and performance to specifications.
- Support shop organization by maintaining cleanliness, managing parts inventory, and properly recycling or disposing of materials.
