Make them work smarter.Are you the person who gets called when the robots stop, the PLC throws a fault, and nobody can figure out why the line isn't running?If robotics, PLCs, automation, electrical controls, and troubleshooting are your thing, we want you on our team.We're looking for a talented Controls, Robotics & Automation Technician to help keep our advanced automotive manufacturing operation running at peak performance.This isn't your typical maintenance job.You'll be hands-on with industrial robots, PLCs, servo systems, weld controls, HMIs, and automated production equipment.WHAT YOU'LL DOYou'll be the technical problem-solver who keeps our automated equipment running.Your responsibilities will include: Troubleshoot and support ABB and FANUC robots Program and troubleshoot PLCs Program and troubleshoot AC/DC and servo drives Modify PLC programs and HMI/machine interfaces Troubleshoot MIG and resistance spot-welding systems Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems Repair and maintain automated manufacturing equipment Design and modify electrical/electronic circuits Adjust welding schedules and equipment parameters Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime Identify root causes-not just symptoms Support automation improvements and continuous improvement projects Work with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other teamsBottom line: When automation isn't working, you figure out why-and get it moving again.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired:Electro-Mechanical Technician diploma or equivalent post-secondary education3–5 years of relevant industrial experienceWorking knowledge of ABB and/or FANUC roboticsStrong controls and troubleshooting skillsElectrical/electronic troubleshooting experiencePLC and drive programming experienceAbility to work independently and solve complex problemsStrong communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office BIG PLUS IF YOU HAVE:Automotive manufacturing experienceRobotic welding experienceAllen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC experienceFANUC or ABB programming/teach experienceHMI programming experienceServo/motion-control experienceIndustrial networking experienceExperience with automated production lines WHY YOU'LL WANT THIS JOBYou're not just turning wrenches.You'll be working with the technology that drives modern automotive manufacturing and you'll have the opportunity to expand your skills in:Robotics • PLCs • Automation • Controls • Welding • Motion Control • Electrical SystemsYour work directly impacts:Production uptime Equipment reliability Product qualitySafetyContinuous improvementEvery day brings a new technical challenge.If you enjoy solving problems that other people can't figure out, you'll fit right in.SAFETY FIRST.
