Position Summary

As a Collection Specialist with J. J. Keller, you will perform various administrative duties (e.g. follow up on credit card declines, canceling subscriptions) and will make collection contacts via phone and email on past due accounts. This position also provides superior customer service, both internally and externally, pertaining to credit and collection functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Makes collection contacts via phone and/or e-mail on past-due accounts as assigned. Encourages timely payment in support of company goals for accounts receivable aging and bad debt write-off. 
• Answers incoming telephone calls as part of department call hunt group and provides customer service. 
• Responds to emails/correspondence from customers and sales areas regarding accounts. 

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience:

Specialist

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Collection experience preferred.

Computer Skills

• Must be proficient in the use of a PC and MS Office Suite, with high proficiency in MS Excel. 
• Experience with SAP desirable.

Other Skills/Qualifications :

• Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify and assist in resolving problems.
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
