Certified Copier Field Service Technician
Location: Dade & Broward County, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $17–$22/Hour + Company Vehicle + Benefits
Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Copier Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair multifunction copiers, printers, and related office technology throughout Dade and Broward County.
This is a field-based position for a dependable technician who can independently manage daily service calls while providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of copier and printer repair experience , strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with basic networking and print configurations.
Job Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair multifunction copiers, printers, and related office equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and connectivity issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Configure print drivers, scanning functions, and basic network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP networking and common printing or scanning issues.
• Manage daily field service calls throughout the assigned territory.
• Complete service documentation and work orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain an organized inventory of replacement parts, tools, and supplies within the company vehicle.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repairs, and service recommendations.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
• Provide reliable, responsive customer service at each client location.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience servicing and repairing copiers and printers in a field service environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, TCP/IP networking, print drivers, and basic network troubleshooting .
• Ability to read technical service manuals and utilize diagnostic software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to independently organize and manage a daily service schedule.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at a variety of customer locations throughout Dade and Broward County.
Preferred Experience
• Manufacturer certifications from Ricoh, Sharp, Brother , or similar office technology manufacturers.
• Production print equipment.
• Managed Print Services (MPS).
• Scan-to-email and scan-to-folder configuration.
• Network printing and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Multifunction printer and copier installations.
